In the late afternoon hours on September 5, 2008, the York Village and York Beach Fire departments were dispatched to 100 Seabury rd. for a “reported structure fire” Companies were on the air within minutes. C-1 was the first to arrive and reported a single story ranch & attached garage smoke showing. He transmitted a 1st alarm “working fire” for card 0-1 (York Village Hydrant district run card) Squad 1 arrived shortly thereafter and stretched two 1 3/4″ handlines into the house to cut off the advancing fire. Lt Paul Balentine FF Nick Hilton as the nozzleman and FF James Eslinger as the back-up FF made up the initial attack team.
