Crews tackled an afternoon car fire on Memorial Day. The fire occurred at York St. Just in from Route 1. Squad 2 and Engine 6 responded, the fire was knocked down quickly by a single 1 3/4” handline. York Police assisted with the snarled holiday traffic while the companies made quick work of the fire. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. The fire is under investigation by Deputy Chief Apgar (C-3)
