York Village and York Beach Fire Departments were dispatched to a reported structure fire on Summit Ln. just before 7:30 Saturday night. Initial reports were of a fire in the kitchen, possibly extinguished. Chief Balentine arrived on scene with smoke showing from a single story home, requesting a 1st Alarm. Upon investigation, crews found an extinguished fire on the stove with minimal extension. The 1st Alarm was canceled, but responding York and York Beach companies were to continue for ventilation.
