FF Morse is shown here practicing throwing the 24′ extension ladder in preparation for his Firefighter I and II practical skills exam two weeks ago. FF Morse has been enrolled in the North Berwick FD Firefighter I and II certification class since December 1, a college level, extremely rigorous course of study including many hours of hands on and classroom learning. this course is a required course for a firefighter to become certified to function as a firefighter on the fireground. Being a volunteer doesn’t exempt us from the same requirements as full-time/career firefighters, we all have to have the same certifications!!
FF Morse passed his practical skills exam with flying colors and we just received word this morning that he passed his written tests for certification for both Firefighter I and Firefighter II, two separate 100 question tests!! Congratulations, Ryan!! it is no small accomplishment!! welcome to the brotherhood!!!!
