Tonight our members trained on throwing ground ladders. This is an evolution that we need to practice regularly to maintain proficiency. In tonight’s scenario we practiced on the campus at York Hospital in an alley which is a more realistic scenario as the ladder needs to be set up in a relatively tight space. We drilled with both a 24′ extension ladder and the longer and heavier 35′ (3) section ground ladder. Each group made multiple sets with the ladders in different parts of the buildings.
