York Village Firefighters participated in York Beach’s annual firemen’s parade and field day muster. Engines 4, 6, Tank 4, Truck 8 and Brush 10 represented York Village in the parade while two teams of 6 firefighters each ran in an old fashioned firemen’s muster. The firemen’s muster is a dying tradition which is still very much alive in the town of York as both fire departments host one annually. York firefighters collected several trophies in various events. The firefighters had a great time in York Beach, even getting to enjoy a York Beach favorite, “The Blinky-Cone” for ice cream and frappes, thanks to a mid-parade stop by our own Fire Explorer “Reggie” Carr. There was lots of laughing and high-fives and nearly everybody got wet!!!
Special Thanks to Shawn St. Hilaire for his excellent photography!
