Members of the YFD went out today to try out a valve that we were trying out as a demo. It allows the chauffeur of the engine to forward lay hose (lay hose from the water supply to the fire) with a short staffed crew. and then remotely open the valve to supply water to the pumper. The valve was loaned by our friends at Harrison-Shraeder Enterprises (HSE) a fire equipment distributor.
