Around 1400 hrs. Kittery dispatch toned Kittery Fire to respond to the trailer park located at 1 Idlewood Lane for a report of a structure fire reported to be heavy smoke showing from a trailer. Companies had a large “loom up” showing from quite a distance prompting Kittery C-1 to transmit a second alarm prior to his arrival on the scene. York Village dispatched Engine 4 to the fire. Engine 4 responded short staffed with a driver only to the scene and York C-2 along with a captain and a firefighter met the company on scene to round out the crew. Kittery Fire made an excellent stop as a shed and 1 trailer were fully involved and they had extension to a second trailer and exterior damage to a third trailer.
Thank You to Brian Starkey for the use of his excellent “First Due” photographs!!!
