This evening crews were dispatched mutual aid to Eliot with Engine 6 for a structure fire on Route 236 in Eliot. The occupancy was growing medical marijuana. There was heavy fire in the attic area and there were no hydrants nearby this particular business. Tank trucks were requested to shuttle water from hydrants at the Eliot commons. Tankers responding to the fire were from: York Village, York Beach, South Berwick, Berwick, Rollinsford.
Companies worked to bring the fire under control for several hours. There were no injuries. York Village responded with Engine 6 and the SMART truck. 9 personnel from YVFD responded.
