Our new Engine 6 has arrived and we are excited to announce it’s arrival!! It is a 2017 Pierce Velocity pumper/tanker with a 1500 GPM Waterous pump and a 2500 gallon water tank. It carries a full complement of structural firefighting equipment including hose, ladders, water, & foam. It replaces Engine 6 and Tank 4 a Mack/ Central States fire apparatus which has outlived its useful life.
This new piece of equipment will be able to serve in multiple roles making it a very versatile piece of equipment and ensuring our tax payers get the best “bang for their buck” we are very proud of it. Due to training requirements, it will be several weeks until the new rig goes into service. You will see it around town as members begin training on it.
