Yet another renovation project is underway at York Village Fire. We have been living in a construction zone for nearly a year and a half now. The latest project funded by the Town of York Energy Steering Committee. This latest job entails adding a sheetrock ceiling to the second floor “Charles Ramsdell Hall” where we have meetings and training. Once the sheetrock is hung on the ceiling, an insulation contractor will add “blown in” insulation to the attic to bring us up to an R-60 insulation value and thus make our fire station more energy efficient. The original fire station here was constructed in 1978 and little has been done in the way of major improvements over the years. We are looking forward to the completion of this latest improvement.
