Numerous York Village Firefighters are working on a patio project in front of the firehouse. In the last week this project has picked up a tremendous amount of momentum, Lt. Ryan Michel took the project on wholeheartedly, he has been assisted by quite a number of other personnel. This project has been discussed for at least 15-20 years. There has been no shortage of opinions about what should be done with the front patio area, with a garden and fire hydrant fountain put in by the members in 2006. Thankfully the fire hydrant fountain was figured into the new design which includes outside outlets, a new flag pole, and upgraded outside seating for the members in their downtime. It is coming along nicely, though it couldn’t be done without our members and their endless amounts of talent, hard work, and dedication. Lt. Michel assured us that it is going to be done in time for field day!!! We’re getting pumped for that as well!!!!
