York Village Firefighters practiced their rural water supply talents. The rural water supply setting is the areas in our town which are not served by the municipal water supply, (ie. no fire hydrants) This adds another level of complexity to an already difficult job. York Village Fire prides itself in the ability to be creative in obtaining water in such situations, and our ISO rating backs this up
as we are a class 4 (rural non hydrant areas) we are also a class 4 (in hydrant areas). In this evolution Engine 6 functions as the attack engine with FF Josh Allen on his first day as a new chauffeur in training, Lt Dave Butler as the officer on Engine 6. Engine 4 was the water supply engine which is it’s normal role. Operating under the command of acting Lt. Zach Apgar, and Tank 4 which was Chauffeured by FF Joe Fox doing the tanker shuttles.
