Around Mid-day on Saturday, York Village Fire was toned out to respond with York Ambulance and York PD to a report of a motor vehicle accident rollover on Braveboat Harbor Rd. Several members were in the station already and the companies were on the air within minutes. C-1 arrived on scene and reported a vehicle rolled over on its roof with a telephone pole and wires down and a person still in the vehicle. Squad 2 went to work utilizing its Paratech struts to stabilize the vehicle while a dry-chemical fire extinguisher, hoseline, and the jaws of life were deployed. Firefighters and EMS personnel were able to access the patient without utilizing the tools. The patient was extricated and transported to York Hospital by York Ambulance ALS personnel.
