Today, the S.M.A.R.T. Truck is at the 8th Annual Operation: Thank You held at the Redhook Brewery in Portsmouth. Stop by and support our troops. Operation: Thank You is presented by The Meat House and The Redhook Brewery and their mission is to raise awareness and support so that military Chaplains throughout the state of New Hampshire can continue to aid military personnel and families in the event of a crisis. The S.M.A.R.T. Truck has been a familiar site at the event, offering a shaded area with “misters” to cool down the guests and volunteers.
Stop by before 4:00. Tickets are $10 for adults and children, active duty, currently serving, guards and reserves get in for free.
The event has a Kids Corner with games and prizes, raffle items from area businesses, including a canoe, baseball tickets and restaurant gift certificates, live music from The Pearly Briggs Band, Tim Terriaualt and the Joppa Flats, A communications center where attendees can record audio/video greetings for loved ones in Iraq and Afghanistan. Also enjoy a Meat House BBQ, served with their legendary marinated steak tips, pulled pork, chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs and potato and pasta salads and more.
