approximately 1730 hrs. Kittery Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a structure fire. Kittery C-4 (Deputy Chief Jason Lonergan) was first-due and reported a wood framed structure with heavy fire showing from the front of the building. He requested a second alarm immediately bringing in York Village Engine 4 to the scene as well as Portsmouth, NH Engine 1 to the scene. While the mutual aid companies were responding, he updated the Kittery dispatch center that he now had 2 buildings going. This fire was in a congested neighborhood in Kittery known as “Admiralty Village” and includes a number of multi-family dwellings occupied by employees at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
