Late Saturday afternoon, York Village Fire was dispatched to a Cider Hill Rd. address for a report of a dog that was trapped under a barn floor and the family was not able to crawl under to reach the dog. Once on scene, crews could hear the dog, Annabelle, under the floor. Family informed us that they tried to reach her, but she was too far in the tight area between the ground and the barn floor that they couldnt reach her. Crews carefully removed floor boards, then were forced to cut a small hole in a sub floor to reach the dog. Once eyes were layed on her, Annabelle wanted nothing to do with being removed as she was more interested in the large hole she was digging. After a couple minutes and a few slices of bologna, she was lifted out of the hole by a family member.
