Tonight for Thursday night training firefighters had opportunity to train with an abandoned structure on Route 91. The owner wanted it to be demolished and York Village Firefighters were happy to help. Members were able to use the structure to train with fire behavior, hose line operations, rural water supply, fireground hydraulics, and exposure protection. The building was flat within an hour and a handful of brand new York Village Firefighters had held a nozzle in their hands and felt the heat of a roaring fire for the first time.
