The York Village Fire Department is proud to announce the hiring of Firefighter Jon Gay to the ranks of our full time staff. Jon replaces retired Capt. John Hunt, who retired last month. Jon Gay was hired from a list of four finalists for the open position. Jon Gay was a full time dispatcher with York Dispatch, and serves as a volunteer Fire Lieutenant with the York Beach Fire Department. We are happy to have Jon as a member of our department. His experience and his ability to bring new ideas to the table are highly welcomed. He will serve the rank of Firefighter, working every 3rd day, staffing Squad 2. Congratulations Jonny!
