Our 94th annual Firemen’s field day was a rousing success, thanks in no small part to the hundreds of hours dedicated by the York Village Firefighters, The festivities kicked off with a noisy parade through York Harbor into York Village which kicked off at 12 noon sharp. Immediately following the parade, York Village Fire hosted a traditional old fashioned firemen’s muster with 7 running teams, a substantial number for musters of today. It is safe to say that the muster is not going to die anytime soon in York Village! A late afternoon truck fire with a couple of out-of town firefighters riding along with the Squad Co. rounded out the day. The evening’s agenda included a lobster dinner, awards banquet and year-in-review video to highlight the events of the past 365 days. Special thanks to the officers and members of York Village Fire for their commitment and dedication. Special Thanks also goes out to the townspeople of York for your continued support of your local fire department.
