Thursday afternoon, York Ambulance and Squad 2 were dispatched to an upstairs Rt. 1 apartment for a medical aid. Crews were unable to bring the patient down the interior stairs, leaving the only one option for extrication. Engine 4 and Truck 8 were requested to the scene to assist with removing the patient from the second floor. Truck 8 made a quick set on the B “Bravo” side of the building, allowing firefighters to remove the patient in a stokes basket.
