Today FF Zach Apgar and Explorer “Reggie” Carr added new signage to Engine 4 so that members can quickly locate Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) equipment at fire scenes. York Village Fire Department hosted a memorial service to remember the 10th anniversary of the events of September 11th. Members from York Village Fire, York Beach Fire, York Ambulance and York Police attended the event, as well as Father John Skeehan from St. Christopher’s church. Every year, the Thursday Night before Field Day is a busy night at the firehouse.  The members got an early start this year, waxing all of the fire apparatus, cleaning the station and getting supplies ready for the big day.
