York Village and York Beach Fire Departments were dispatched to Mr. Mikes Food Shop on Rt. 1 for smoke in the building. Squad 2 was first on scene and discovered a burnt air conditioning unit in the basement with a smoke condition throughout the building. Truck 8 set up ventilation and crews cleared the scene in about 40 minutes.
