The Village and Beach stations were toned to a reported barn fire on Beech Ridge Rd early Thursday morning. Further reports were of a barn fully-involved at 50 Birch Hill Rd. Lt. Jack Lowe was first on scene reporting a 40 X 100 Barn heavily involved with exposures to a propane tank. A second alarm was struck by Chief Balentine, sending more tankers to the non-hydrant area. The fire was under control within a couple of hours.
