York Village Companies were dispatched to Eldredge Lumber for a report of an odor of something burning and smoke in the building. On arrival companies found a light haze of smoke inside the contractor pick-up area. C-1 requested the York Beach Fire Department be toned to respond as well. York Village responded with Squad 2, Engine 4, Engine 6 and Truck 8. York Beach Fire Department responded with Engine 1, Engine 3, and Ladder 1. Crews searched for quite some time before pinpointing the cause, which was shorted out wiring inside an A/C unit.
