approximately 1600 hours York Beach was toned out to respond to Route 1 near the Lobster Barn restaurant for an MVA with PI. While the companies were responding, York Dispatch advised them that they had a report of one patient entrapped. C-4 from the Village district

was first due and advised two patients with one entrapped. Shortly thereafter York Village Fire was requested Mutual Aid with the jaws tool. Squad 2 responded with Lt. Nick Hilton and FF Mike Brown. On arrival they met crews already working on scene, Squad 2’s Jaws tool was quickly placed into operation. 2 doors and the roof were deftly removed in concert with York Beach’s Combi-tool, operated by Lt. Jon Gay. The patient was removed and transported to Portsmouth Hospital with unspecified injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was also injured and transported to York Hospital but was not entrapped. Both patients were transported by York Ambulance.
