Today FF Zach Apgar and Explorer “Reggie” Carr added new signage to Engine 4 so that members can quickly locate Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) equipment at fire scenes.
Rapid Intervention Teams are a new concept for the fire service. A RIT team’s sole purpose is to rescue trapped or injured firefighters. York Village Fire has some rigorous RIT team training in it’s upcoming fire training calendar. Thank You to the above mentioned members who spearheaded the
effort to identify this critical equipment on Engine 4.
