at 0845hours York Village Fire was requested to respond mutual aid to Ogunquit with and Engine and Truck. Engine 4 and Truck 8 responded with 8 personnel and C-1 also responded. Companies were requested to respond to the scene of a structure fire at 20 Shore Rd. right in the heart of congested downtown Ogunquit. OFD Engine 31 and Ladder 7 were on scene of a working basement fire in a commercial structure with shops on the first floor and residential on the second floor. Wells Engine 3 arrived as the second due Engine Co. and layed in from Route 1. Engine 3 from York Beach arrived on scene and was ordered to park the rig and send their manpower in. York Village crews were put to work doing searches of the second floor, ventilation, salvage and overhaul. Companies were returned approximately 1230hours. Two lieutenants from York Beach Fire were injured fighting the fire and were transported to York Hospital. Both fire lieutenants are home recovering, as of this writing. We wish them a speedy recovery!
