Village Fire Companies were dispatched to Squire Lane this morning for a report of a chimney fire. An off duty police officer driving by called in to report fire showing from the chimney. On arrival companies found no fire showing from the chimney and no apparent problem from the inside, the roof was laddered from the “Charlie” side of the building with a 35′ ladder and crews checked the metal flue and found it to be clean all the way down. C-1 put the companies available within 30 minutes. The New England area recieved record snowfall for the Month of October last night into this morning and emergency and power crews were kept busy most of the night.
