The peacefulness of a Saturday morning in the normally quiet Tide Meadow Ln. neighborhood off Rt. 91 was disrupted by a vehicle burning in a driveway in front of one of the homes. York Village responded with Squad 2 and Engine 6 in the sub-zero temperatures. 12 personnel worked as a team to knock down the SUV which was completely destroyed by the fire. The fire was under control in 20 minutes and crews had to break down the hoselines quickly to prevent them from freezing solid. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. Here is a quick shot of Engine 6 functioning as a “nurse tanker” feeding Squad 2 which was the primary fire attack Engine.
