Saturday night the Village Station was toned to Rt. 91 for a report of a car into a pole with unknown injuries. Squad 1, Engine 2, Engine 6 and Ambulance 1 responded. As units arrived on scene, and command was established by Chief Balentine, a small car was found head on into a large tree with two patients. Ambulance 2 was dispatched soon after. Both patients had seriouse head injuries. After the patients were transported and all hazards were taken care of, Engine 6 was put back into service and Squad 1 and Engine 2 remained on scene in service. Engine 8 was sent up to man a hose-line while Maine State Police performed a reconstruction. As command was transferred to Assistant Chief Apgar, the Village Station was dispatched to I-95 North-bound at the weigh-station for a reported roll-over with unknown injuries. Engine 6, Engine 2 and Ambulance 1 responded. One vehicle was found in a ditch with no injuries. All companies were put into service by command, Chief Balentine.
