York Village Fire was dispatched with York Ambulance to I-95 Northbound at Mile 10 for a car vs. moose MVA.  First arriving units had a single vehicle with two serious patients.  There was no extrication needed as the roof was taken bacl from the impact with the 500 pound animal.  A total of three ambulances responded to the scene with Squad 2.  Engine 4 staged on the Spur Rd. with 5 members.

Moose accidents are common on the Maine highways.  They are very hard to see at night, and do not move for oncoming vehicles.  The impact causes a large amount of damage to vehicles traveling down the dark highways.  This is the second one this year in York.
