At around 2030 hours York Dispatch toned out York Village Fire for a call for a chimney fire on Hickory Ln. At the time of the dispatch the mercury was hovering between 8 and 9 Fahrenheit with a steady breeze blowing making the wind chill feel much colder. Squad 2 and Truck 8 responded with 9 personnel. Upon arrival crews found a minor chimney fire. The fire was quickly knocked down by dropping the chimney chain down and knocking the loose creosote free. The crews were tied up for approximately 1 hour. There were no firefighter or civilian injuries.
