The officers and members of the York Village Fire Department wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. We want to caution everybody to be FIRE SAFE during the holidays by reminding the public of a couple fire safety hints:
1.Exercise extreme care with candles and other open fire.
2.Don’t leave your holiday cooking and baking unattended.
3. Please refrain from burning your cardboard and wrapping paper, it is the cause of many Christmas day chimney fires.
4.Keep matches and lighters away from young children
5..Be sure your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are in place and working.
