Today the volunteers were covering another Saturday here at York Village Fire. We started off the morning with a motor vehicle crash on Southside Rd.  near the corner of Bartlett Rd. A vehicle careened into the rocks and amazingly didn’t suffer any damage but was in a precarious position so a large wrecker from National Wrecker Service was called in to help.

A visting firefighter from Melbourne, Australia stopped into the firehouse and wanted to look at the rigs.  Station officer Dave Burke and his new wife Fiona. Dave is a Station Officer assigned to Station 10 in the Richmond section of the city.  We hope he will return “Down under” with an appreciation of the hospitality of the “yankee” firefighters!!!

As is customary when the Volunteers are covering a shift, a large dinner was cooked, and the crew from York Ambulance came over to eat with us.

Check out some of the fun shots from our day!!!
