field day weekend is finally here!!! We look forward to this weekend every single year. It is a blast to put on the events and play host to our friends, neighbors, townspeople, and our firefighting family from near and far. Thursday kicks off our field day weekend, at YVFD. We begin with a thorough wash, wax, and detailing of all the apparatus in the fleet. by late Thursday night everything in the firehouse looks like a brand new truck, its truly a herculean effort and requires all hands on deck. A huge THANK YOU to all the members who came down to help out and get the fleet looking tip top!!!!! There is a lot of work that goes into putting this event together and it wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated membership.
