Tonight was our weekly Thursday night training. Companies went to the former Fazio’s restaurant on Woodbridge Rd. for some hands on training with hoselines and hose advancement. Engine company Crews were dealt some difficult scenarios with lengthy hose stretches to remote parts of the building requiring much coordination, teamwork, and communication. Truck 8 utilized its aerial ladder and several ground ladders to support the simulated fire attack going on within the building. The Truck 8 crew even managed to advance a hoseline over the aerial into a second floor window, getting themselves in on one of the “interior attack” evolutions. Engine 4 took over the ventilation duties for that drill.
