Tonight’s training consisted of Basic RIT Training. RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) training is one of the most important trainings for firefighters, teaching them techniques to rescue a down or trapped firefighter. Seasoned members worked with newer members on converting the down firefighter’s airpack into a rescue harness. There was also a review of the RIT pack.
