Tonight for our weekly Thursday night training the topic was rope rescue training. This is a situation that we don’t encounter that often and it is necessary to be proficient in setting up a rope hauling system in a hurry when it is needed. In this scenario, an injured person is at the bottom of a very steep hill and needs assistance getting back up the hill/cliff etc. The members set this up and broke it down multiple times ensuring that all the steps were covered in order and all participants were comfortable with the evolution when we were done with it.
