FF Lisa Desotelle took these shots of last night’s water rescue training, She is one of our  firefighter/EMT’s  and also has specialized training in water rescue operations. The members were training on swimming up to a victim and getting the victim to shore. The water rescue team was started in 2003 when Chris Connors joined the York Village Fire Department and donated the first of three water rescue boats, filling a need that has existed for years. The members train weekly throughout the summer on various topics such as boat operations, rescue techniques, rope handling, navigation, etc.
