Captains John Hunt and Paul Balentine traveled to Appleton, Wisconsin to the Pierce factory for an inspection on the new Squad 2. John and Paul finalized the specifications on our new Pierce PUC Rescue Pumper. Many items were added or changed to maximize efficiency.

York Village Firefighters took advantage of the nice early September weather to test two “dry hydrants”  This ensures the operational readiness of this rural water supply tool as well as keeping our chauffeurs the best in  the business!

Firefighter Charles “Chuckie”  Balentine recieved  his 55 years of service pin at the annual York Firefighter’s ball. Companies respond to Rt. 1 at Anthony’s Food Shop for a 2 vehicle MVA with injury. Mutual Aid Ambulances were also requested.

York Village and York Beach firefighters participated in this training burn at 45 Old Post Rd. in the Village district. crews participated in various evolutions including interior fire attack, Back-up,  Ground Ladders, Ventilation and Search and Rescue.  The York Village SMART truck was standing by to provide  food, drink and rehabilitation.
