After the mandatory Maine OSHA/Department of Labor annual classroom session and skills fair was completed, members participated in some ice rescue training at Foster’s pond on Axholme Rd. Foster’s Clambakes who owns the land and the pond are long time friends of our organization and are huge supporters of ours, thank you for the use of the pond, again!!

members took turns donning the suits and going out into the freezing cold water and demonstrating ice rescue techniques with their peers. It was a very productive training. The training was led by Asst. Chief Humphrey, Capt. Dave Butler, and Lt. Zach Apgar. They look like they’re having fun, don’t they?
