Tonight’s Thursday night training was on large stream appliances. We drilled with the new Akron “rapid attack monitor” which is a portable ground monitor that can be quickly set up with one firefighter and easily flow 400 gallons per minute. We also drilled with Truck 8’s ladder pipe. Engine 6 laid dual 4″ lines from the hydrant though the flows were limited to about 800 gallons per minute in this neighborhood so we weren’t able to effectively flow both the ladder pipe and the rapid attack monitor simultaneously.
